[ Yesterday, anyone might have noticed the storm clouds rolling in with large masses.  They might have seen the lightning, given they were in the right location to do so.  They may have also heard a loud thunder demon demanding to know what realm of hell this was, for he had died.

And so had his brother.

And he had woken up here alone, without family or foe in sight or, apparently, range. So he treated the day of his arrival as though it were a hunt.  A boisterous hunt where he hardly took anyone's word for anything.  What he was told-- it was too unreal.  Too impossible.  Something he refused to believe.

Today, Hiten had figured out some of the perks to the device he received upon his arrival.  He had seen the broadcasts and could only hope for the best when he started speaking.  He looks more fragile today.  Exhausted, worn out, and pained.  His voice is hoarse. ]

I need to find my brother, Manten.  Don't waste my time.

1st: The Winnings of Haruki Suzumiya

[To clarify, when he's speaking in Japanese and not the Darstone-standard English, I am going to be using green font color. This will be a consistent thing for this whole post The video begins with him outside of his apartment, sitting in a chair outside in what appears to be the Gnomish District for those familiar with the variations in the city's stylings]

So I guess the festival's winding down today. It's impressive it went on as long as it did, actually. Several days, almost a week. I pulled off a lot of prizes and a few part time jobs, even if those were a pain. But whatever, I guess I ought to properly introduce myself! [And he stands now, bowing at the book for a polite introduction] My name's Haruki Suzumiya. I'm originally from Earth, but I spent the last few years in another dimension called Luceti.

[And then he stands from the bow, sighing and running a hand through his bangs. This briefly almost-exposes his scar there, but in the video of the mirror, it's doubtful it'll be clear]

For those of you who missed that, I'm Haruki. Back in Luceti, new feathers - err, new people - tended to introduce ourselves on the network, and even if it's the first generation of people here, I figured I might as well. Particularly because I have something to ask.

You see, I arrived here broke, but-! I've been working some jobs - even got in touch with this guy named Mk'ala on the quest board doing the lamest job ever, but that's given my jack to worth with so far. More importantly, I just came into a large sum of money through an alternative means! If you can't guess, it's simple: winning the lottery! I'll accept winning a Gnomish lottery a few days in is probably a cliche, but I'll take it.

So, I've got something simple to request- Has anyone seen any stores selling high end digital cameras, or anything resembling them? Or anywhere which looks like a martial arts dojo, or perhaps a magic school? I'll settle for anyone selling a detailed GPS or something for the city.

...I guess I'll keep working for Mk'ala even if I don't need to anymore. Guy sort of scares me. Anyway. There's that for now, but keep your eyes peeled for future developments. Haruki Suzumiya, over and out!

[And with a wave at the feed, he cuts it to wait for responses]

--Shhh. Stay still. Let me put this down and stop wagging... [Lancer was knelt in front of two dogs, both trying to raise their front paws and push him away. He clucked his tongue, handling a mass of rope, pulling knots out of it and scowling irritably. One could see he was wearing a plain black suit and tie and after he finished with the rope, he pulled up a brown bag which emitted a few gentle clangs as if it were full of bottles of liquor.

Of course, that's what it was full of. Having already blown through quite a bit of his initial stipend, Lancer started tying the bottles of liquor to one of the wolves--to which the beast whimpered pleadingly. Lancer gave it an arch look as he continued tying the bottles to it, effectively making it a pack hound.

The second wolf took the procedure with a little more grace as Lancer removed packs of cigarettes from the bag as well, tying them to its upper body before opening a pack and lighting one for himself. When he was done, he picked up the mirror and slipped it under one of the ropes hugging the second wolf, not aware that it was on at all.]

Am I forgettin' anything? [Lancer stood up and scratched his throat with his fingertips, trying to remember.]
