 [ Yesterday, anyone might have noticed the storm clouds rolling in with large masses.  They might have seen the lightning, given they were in the right location to do so.  They may have also heard a loud thunder demon demanding to know what realm of hell this was, for he had died.  

And so had his brother.

And he had woken up here alone, without family or foe in sight or, apparently, range. So he treated the day of his arrival as though it were a hunt.  A boisterous hunt where he hardly took anyone's word for anything.  What he was told-- it was too unreal.  Too impossible.  Something he refused to believe.  

Today, Hiten had figured out some of the perks to the device he received upon his arrival.  He had seen the broadcasts and could only hope for the best when he started speaking.  He looks more fragile today.  Exhausted, worn out, and pained.  His voice is hoarse. ]

I need to find my brother, Manten.  Don't waste my time.

He's a thunder demon. He's pale and has very little hair-- and wears a fox demon for a pelt. [ His voice is a soft growl, though it's somewhat defeated. ]

This whole place is a waste of time.

[But he can't help but feel bad for Hiten, wanting to find his sibling and all. He himself lost Laura, his sister just recently.]

When you were back at home, [where ever that was] was he nearby, by chance? [maybe he was picked up too]

[ He makes a sound, quite possibly a growl, in the back of his throat. ]

He died. [ Right before Hiten. But he doesn't want to get into details and he doesn't want pity. He's tense; still trying to process this.. place. ]

[puppysitting]

[He notes that growl and narrows his eyes ever so slightly but soon his eyes widen a fraction.]

Then... why would you think your brother is here if he died?

[battleoverbroads]

[ His glare hardens. ]

Because I'm dead!

[puppysitting]

[Okay he's taken aback now and he blinks furiously, trying to digest that.]

But you're... alive.

[Clearly. Of course.]

[battleoverbroads]

[ There's a long pause and a soft sound of thunder in the background. He's a tad moody... ]

I fucking died!

[puppysitting]

[OH WELL now it clicks for him, but all the same he is still surprised. People... from the dead could come back here? That was news to him.]

That... makes more sense now.

[battleoverbroads]

[ He's generally impatient, so he'll spend a few moments glaring before speaking through his teeth. ]

Listen, human, I don't have time to break things down piece by piece for you. Either you'll tell me where my brother is or you'll get the hell out.

[puppysitting]

[Okay now he's glaring into his mirror at him.]

No. I don't know where your brother is. [He snaps back at the demon,a little peeved about the 'human' part, but he leaves it be for now.]

[battleoverbroads]

Then you know what to do.

[ It's threatening, and he starts to visibly glow a little. ]

[puppysitting]

I think I'll stay where I am.

[He notices that little light show of his and narrows his eyes down at his mirror.]

What are you?

Do you even know if he's here?

He is.

[ Or.. has to be? Which is really just Hiten for 'no'. ]

Right. If you're sure, then what's the guy look like?

[battleoverbroads]

He's pale with very little hair. [ And, uh-- ] He has a big snout.

...Snout?

He's a demon.

I'm not sure that's too descriptive, but fine, I can keep my eyes open. Not that there's any assurance he'll be here, you know.

[He's quietly been observing others, and can't help but have at least a bit of sympathy. Someone has to be the voice of reason here. Dave at least makes an attempt not to look or sound like an asshole for the moment.]

I will admit I have not been here for long but I'm under the assumption that those that are brought here are brought alone. If someone you care of such as your brother is here, then it would only be by chance alone.

And to be perfectly honest, seeing as you seem to care so much and it can only be assumed that he would feel the same if searching for you, if your brother hasn't contacted you by now there is a high chance he's not here.

[ He takes in everything he's told. And by now, he's come to terms with the fact that it's all probably true. But he just can't accept that. Not yet. ]

I clearly stated not to waste my time.

I believe you know very well I'm not wasting your time. Others can't be blamed for you deciding to go into a state of denial when you get an answer that you don't wish to hear.

I'm not in denial!

[ But he knows he is. He's just not willing to admit it and openly acknowledge that he's really on his own now. ]

[Dave just raises a brow at that, this one seems to be the predictable type.]

I'm sure you'll be fine even if you are. But would you rather have a stable footing in this place for when your brother arrives or would you rather him show up and you be worth nothing here? It's always better to have something to show off if you're waiting for someone, so make something of it.

Fuck better footing. My brother-- [ Knows his place. Knows who to respect. Knows he'll probably be treated poorly because Hiten doesn't know how to make nice; which was his greatest regret after his younger brother died. But instead he scoffs. ]

I want nothing this place has to offer.

Then you're fuck and you're going to have to deal with being miserable. You can either accept the truth and make of it what you will or sit around and mope constantly feeling sorry for yourself and drowning in your sea of denial. It's your choice really, I'm just trying to give some helpful advice.
