You know, this place isn't half-bad. Of course, this is coming from a girl who thought she was about ten seconds from dying or something.

There's so many things to see and do around here. It's kind of exciting in that...weird-new-world sort of way, you know? Back home, I could always expect to see some kind of fast food joint if I turned the corner. Here, everything's a surprise.

[Yeah, she's kind of giddy with how awesome things are here. Also, no one's knocking her for having magic, yaaaay!]

And the hospital said they needed some volunteers, so I jumped on that. I don't think I can be a nurse as a job for the rest of my life - I'm kind of an artsy sort of girl - but it's a start, I think. At least it means I can get some experience or something, I guess. [Not that she'll need it for a resume or anything.] Eh, whatever.
