[He looks at the mirror for a good ten minutes. A mirror. Seriously? He has to talk and write into a mirror? They really wanted him to help out here? The day after Scott had been pronounced dead and Lydia had been mauled? How helpful did they expect him to be like this.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess: there are a bunch of other people who got kidnapped. So. How long have you been stuck? I'm hoping for less than a week, but somehow I really doubt it.

[Yeah, alright, he'll laugh at that] No, I trust my dad, my dad trusts me. The only thing I don't trust him to do is eat right.

That's pretty nice of you. My student and I were always rescuing each other-- me more than him.

[She's pleased with herself that she'd made him laugh, when he'd started out so (understandably) bitter about the whole thing.] So if you trust him so much then he'll be okay without you for a while. You can't change it, so don't sweat it.

We've got a mutual life saving thing going. Works out pretty well for the most part.

[He'll sigh] I'd rather be at home. But I guess I can try to wait this thing out.

Not much other choice, [she says bluntly, unsympathetic.] Better get yourself a job if you don't want to be stuck in boring old communal housing.

[Toph doesn't mind it too much, actually, but she still intends to move out at some point. Then, almost gleefully,] I think I finally found where the illegal underground fighting rings are. I can start making some money!

Illega- Probably shouldn't be saying that where everybody can hear you.

Especially if you want the place to stay open.

It's an earthbending tournament, and before you ask, earthbending is the ability to manipulate earth. Rocks, the ground, sand, and in my case, metal.

I think there might be a couple people that've been here longer, but we pretty much all got here at the same time. Like they decided to step up their game plan all of a sudden.
