(The screen turns on, but something's going...pretty fast, almost like whoever's on the other side is trying to move it around somehow. Finally, the mirror is tilted a bit but it still remains upright.

And that's when a blue Pegasus pony with a multi-colored mane comes into view, wings flapping as she stares intently at said mirror...while also upside-down at the same time. No, she's not human; she's a Pegasus pony, like the constellation but real.)

Do I look good...? Eh, doesn't really matter. Hi, everypony! I'm your Friendly Neighborhood Rainbow Dash, and from what I hear it sounds like you guys could use some Pegasus power. Well, look no further than the fastest flyer to come out of Cloudsdale - that's me! - to help save the day!

Oh, and on the days when I'm not on the clock I'll be chillaxin' with some of my friend's Daring Do books. So don't disturb me then, 'cause I probably won't pay attention if you do.

[the voice on her mirror causes her to look up. Applejack had tended to just leave her communication port on at all times now after that message from the government official. whatever she was doing, she came back to the mirror and quickly put her hoof down on the button to turn it on]

Rainbow Dash? That really you, sugarcube? [surprise!]

(Rainbow Dash blinks a moment as she presses the button on the mirror. Off, on, off, on, off, on...and she stares for a moment or two before turning around.)

Applejack! You're here, too?

Yep! So's Rarity! Ah was hopin' more of us would show up! [pleased!]

(That earns a double-take from Rainbow.)

Rarity's here? Seriously?

[nod] Though she's been perdy scarce. This place is weirder than Pinkie Pie on her twitchin' days.

...Really? Must be scarier than the mirror told us about. Or she's just avoiding getting dirty again.

Whatever th'mirror told ya is downplayin' the fact that the government here doesn't trust us Outsiders... That's what they call us, even though we're here t'help them!

...IS there something going on I should know about? We're brought here to help out everypony, and the top ponies don't trust us?

They sure don't. One o'them came on the communicator a couple days ago sayin' we can't use things like the hospitals or policeponies or the Council Halls. Think we're causin' trouble an' we should be heavily guarded.

...What the hay is that about?! They call us here to help them out and now we're gonna be guarded like we're criminals?

Seems like it. Some o'the other ponies Ah talked to said there'd just been a war. After that, the top ponies started watchin' things more carefully. Don't know all the details yet, but Ah haven't thought about what t'do.

...Great! And I thought this was gonna rock harder than a Daring Do adventure. Maybe a couple of ponies could go undercover, try and figure things out from the inside?

(The government are probably much smarter than Rainbow gives them credit for.)

Ah dunno. Ah haven't gotten the chance to talk to many o'them. Might not be a bad idea if they could pull it off.

Yeah...so, besides all that what's cool around here? Talking with mirrors is kinda neat, but this could get boring really fast.

(She's bored already, just trying to be patient with AJ.)

[hey, AJ is telling her valuable information!]

Ah haven't been here that long, but Ah know there's a lot of stuff to explore. Just go look outside.

(Her interest came and went with the talk of war, but she still listened. Kinda.)

...Are you sure? Doesn't really look like I'll be able to fly much.

Why not? It's not like this place is small.

Yeah, you gotta point there.

(She takes that time to zip out, and it's silent for a time.

2-3 minutes later, she zips back in and AJ might hear a loud crash.)

...I meant to do that.

...Right.

If Ah wouldn't hold yer awesome fast self back, ya wanna go lookin' around together?

(And she's okay again, grinning while nodding in response.)

Sure! Wouldn't mind somepony showing me around.

Ah'll show ya what Ah know, but Ah haven't ventured far. So it'll be an adventure fer both of us.

[Asking for a ride right off the bat would be rude so she'll wait until she gets to know Rainbow Dash better. She might be a little excited, because her childhood dream of riding a magical flying pony off into the sunset might actually have a chance at becoming a reality.]

(Rainbow blinks a few times. Other ponies? Who the hay could she mean?)

(She'll zip in and out of focus of the mirror a few times before reappearing - right-side up - and grinning.)

[Ohmygod SOCOOL! Rainbow Dash is definitely someone Chandra is going to like.]

Well there's Applejack, she got here about the same time I did. And then there's another one named Rarity but I haven't talked to her much.

I'm Chandra, by the way.

Heh, Applejack's what you would call an Earth pony - has her hooves planted on the ground, loves helping with apples. Rarity's a Unicorn - one you'd be proud to have as a friend but if you aren't careful she'll make you get a hooficure.

Nice to meet you Chandra. So, was everything the mirror said on the up-and-up?

I think so, yeah. I just got here but it all looks like what the mirror-lady said. Except there's this other lady who's telling us that we're bad people and can't go to the hospitals or anything.

Yeah, I heard that from Applejack. They don't know what they're talking about, 'cause I don't think you're bad at all.

[Which is funny because she actually makes a lot of bad choices and is constantly judged for making said choices.]

Oh wow! You are very colourful and I've never met a hoofbeast that can fly before that wasn't a lusus of some type! Also one that can speak!

What uh, do you mean by Pegasus power though?

These babies! (She motions to her wings.) I'm a Pegasus pony.

[Blinks. OK. Pony.......... it's a rainbow colored pony that flies. Just breathe, Henry.]

Good lord, you're quite the bright lass...

(She grins confidently and nods.)
