I wanted to extend my gratitude to those who came to my aid when I first arrived here. I would have surely lost my life if it wasn't for your efforts, and while a mere word of thanks feels hardly appropriate for such an act of kindness, it is all I have to offer.

That being said, I am curious to learn about the different people that have come to be in this place. I believe the people I met were called humans? I had never left my home world, so this is a new sort of opportunity for me.

The Vast Glub took out all of the trolls in the galaxy as far as we know, save the twelve that were in their game at the time. And even then, there's only a small fraction of those 12 left alive thanks to a few of them going a little off the deep end in confined space. At least that's how it was for my troll friend.

Your friend must be mistaken. Alternia and it's people are very much still alive.

In your world, not in the future. But it's nothing you'll ever need to worry about, so believe what you will.

Whether it's the future or not doesn't matter! They are still my people and I have ever right to worry!

Things such as that never seem real until you see them yourself, no one can blame you for your doubt.

That is not something I would ever wish to see.

From what I assume, I don't believe it's anything you'll ever have to see in your time.

You act as though that is cause enough to pretend it doesn't matter.

Sometimes pretending is better than dwelling or worrying too much.

I would much prefer to face the reality of a situation, no matter how difficult or painful.

There's honestly not much more I can say on the matter, other than I'm sorry you had to hear it from me. Perhaps it would have meant more coming from one of the other trolls themselves.

I'm not sure there is anything that could have been done to lesson the blow of such knowledge. I don't know what it means for the future, but it's not going to make me give up.

I wouldn't expect you to. There's no changing the inevitable future, but that never means to stop fighting for the present.

Maybe there's a way to save them, somehow.
