Anyway, hello there to everyone who can hear me! My name is Nepeta and I'm clawsitively brand new around here. I'm really sorry to hear that things are going badly in this world, but I kind of had my own problems back home. So I guess since we can't go back until things get fixed here I'll be working extra hard to hurry it up.

But I've got a question in the meantime that I hope somebody can answer. Is there any way to bring specific people here? If I can't go back home just yet then I'd at least like to know that my friends are somewhere a little safer.

[the frown is almost audible in her voice, but it perks back up fairly quickly]

If by some chance you guys are here already, you better tell me right away! There'll be shell to pay if I have to walk around and find you myself.

Nepeta! Oh, hello! [Disciple beams - the voice was slightly familiar, hers, younger, but more than that she's heard so much about her she's beyond excited to meet her, even if she's sad the young troll was taken from her own home for it to happen.]

Yes, some of your friends are here, they'd mentioned you to me. Equius, and...Eridan, I think? And some other trolls as well, but I don't know if you'd know them or not!

[Nepeta can't help but do a double-take at the adult troll (oh god oh man) replying to her because wow does she look a lot like herself. it's a little unsettling, but then she mentions Equius and she can't help but relax a little.]

Well, I clawsitively know Equius and Eridan! [even if she's surprised to hear Eridan is here considering what happened to him]

And I might know the others! I've got ten other trolls I was with before this, which is kind of why I didn't name everybody; that would have taken way too long.

Well, there's Sollux, and Tavros, and...let's see who else. Karkat? Although I'm sure most of them will see this soon enough and come and say hello for themselves!

They better! I'll be really mad if I have to go find where they live and visit them myself. [she laughs. it's good to hear that a large-ish chunk of her friends are around, especially Tavros. she'd be really worried about him]

Oh, but who are you? I got caught up in finding everybody and forgot to ask, I'm sorry.

Well, I'm afraid I don't know where most of them are staying, but I'm sure they wouldn't want to make you mad! [She chuckles, glad to hear her laughing. She always worries a bit about new arrivals. At least Nepeta seems to be coping well.]

Oh, I'm so sorry, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm the Disciple. It's very good to meet you, Nepeta.

I hope not. That'd be a pretty clawful hello, especially after landing in a completely different world.

It's nice to meet you too! Have you been here very long?

[even if she's an adult who looks freakily like her, the Disciple seems to be friendly at the very least. no need to be too guarded.]

No, not too long, just a few weeks, perhaps a perigee at the most? It's a good place to live though.

[And Disciple is dying to get a look at Nepeta, to see if she really resembles her as much as Equius said she did. But it doesn't seem very polite to ask.]

That's not really long at all. And I haven't really looked around the city very much yet, but it looks a clawful lot better than where I was before.

[not that that's very hard to do. meteorbent was already shaping up to be totally horrible.]

No, it really isn't, but it's still longer than I'm used to being in any one place! It's definitely nicer than almost anywhere I've been on Alternia.

Did you do a lot of traveling? That must have been fun! And I'm pretty sure that it's not very hard to be nicer than Alternia.

I did, quite a lot of it! There were so many places to go and see and people to meet. [People who needed to hear Signless' words.] ...and no, that's true, unfortunately. But there's no fear here, not like there was there. That's the biggest importance, and the biggest relief.

Yeah. People shouldn't have to be afraid, so I think that anywhere they feel safe is a good place.

[it's too bad she probably won't ever find a place like that. not while there were other trolls around, at least.]

Not that I wouldn't mind doing some exploring myself! I didn't do much moving around before.

That's right. [She smiles softly.] Maybe, hopefully, this can be that place for us.

Well, it might be inside a cave but it's still pretty big here! There's lots for you to explore for now!

I bet it can be if we try and make it. We've got a pretty good start! [I mean, no one's outright killing each other so far]

It's a clawful lot bigger than my hive was, so I'm pretty sure I'll have tons to keep me busy.

That's true, we do! We just need to try and convince more people to join us in making this a good place for everyone.
